Product Overview
Description:
Bovine agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (0.5-10 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing bovine AGRP levels with a detection range of 0.5-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The kit is based on an AGRP antibody-AGRP antigen interaction (immunosorbent) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AGRP antigen targets in samples.
Background:
AGRP plays a role in body weight homeostasis, is involved in the control of eating behavior through the central melanocortin system, and acts as an inverse agonist of MC3R and MC4R, thereby inhibiting their constitutive activity. Genetic variants in AGRP may be responsible for obesity.
Synonyms:
Agouti-related peptide; ASIP2
Applications:
Bovine agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (0.5-10 ng/mL) is designed for the in vitro quantitative analysis of AGRP levels in bovine serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid, and tissue homogenate samples.
Research Area:
Hormone research; Eating behavior; Signaling pathway; Obesity
