Product Overview

Description: AdipoUpX™ Human ACOT11 Ad5 Adenoviral Particle (Overexpression) enables the efficient transient overexpression of the human ACOT11 gene. This thioesterase manages activated fatty acids and is highly active in brown fat thermogenesis. This product serves as a powerful resource for studying heat generation and fat-burning pathways, with quality guaranteed by titer, sterility, and mycoplasma testing to ensure experimental reliability.
Production Cell Line: HEK293
Viral Backbone: Adenovirus type5 (dE1/E3)
Promoter: CMV
Product Availability: Produced Upon Order

Specification

Titer Test: qPCR
Insert Verification: All viral preparations have been validated via PCR to confirm the integrity of their vector genomes.
Sterility Test: This product was confirmed to be sterile upon testing.
Mycoplasma Test: This product has passed quality control, confirming that it is free of mycoplasma contamination.
Other QC: We perform customized supplementary testing and in vitro/in vivo transduction assessments based on specific project requirements to analyze the expression levels and biological functions of transgenes.
Storage: Upon receipt of viral preparations, they must be immediately transferred to a -80°C environment for long-term storage.
Stability: The product guarantees excellent stability for 6-12 months when stored continuously at -80°C (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Upon thawing, the working solution is refrigerated at 4°C for up to 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
Shipping Condition: Our adenovirus viral products are shipped using dry ice.
Handling Notes: Viral particles are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and freeze-thaw cycles. To maintain titer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, it is recommended to aliquot the vector immediately upon receipt into low-protein-binding tubes and store according to specified conditions. Ensure all operations are performed within a biosafety cabinet.
Intended Use: This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnosis or therapeutic applications.
Product Disclaimer: Our company is committed to product quality, and all products have undergone rigorous internal QC inspections. Given the diversity and complexity of experimental conditions, we do not guarantee product performance or experimental results in any specific application. Users bear ultimate responsibility for product storage, handling, and compliance with all safety protocols, laws, regulations, and biosafety requirements throughout all operational processes.

Target Profile

Gene Name: ACOT11
Full Name: Acyl-CoA thioesterase 11
Gene Symbol: BFIT; THEA; THEM1; STARD14
Gene ID: 26027
RefSeq ID-1: NP_056362.1
RefSeq ID-2: NM_015547.4
Summary: ACOT11 encodes an acyl-CoA thioesterase that hydrolyzes fatty acyl-CoA esters into free fatty acids and coenzyme A. In mouse models, expression of the ACOT11 homolog in brown adipose tissue is induced by cold exposure and suppressed by warm temperatures, indicating a role in thermogenic adaptation. Notably, higher expression levels have been observed in obesity-resistant mice compared with obesity-prone strains, supporting a protective role for ACOT11 in limiting excessive fat accumulation. Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants.
