Product Overview

Description: Sheep adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-50 mμg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing sheep ADP levels with a detection range of 1.56-50 mμg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 mμg/mL.
Assay Principle: The plate wells are coated with purified sheep ADP antibody to make a solid phase antibody, then ADPN and HRP-labeled ADP antibody are added to the wells, and the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complexes. After complete washing, TMB substrate solution is added, and TMB substrate turns blue color catalyzed by HRP enzyme, then sulfuric acid is added to terminate the reaction. The reaction is terminated by adding sulfuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. The concentration of ADP in the sample is then determined by comparing the OD of the sample with the standard curve.
Background: ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Synonyms: ADIPOQ; ACDC; APM1; Adipocyte C1q and collagen domain-containing protein; ACRP30; Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein; apM-1; Gelatin-binding protein; Adiponectin
Applications: Sheep adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-50 mμg/mL) is designed for the in vitro quantitative analysis of ADP levels in sheep serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, feces, and urine samples.
Research Area: Hormone research; Lipid metabolism; Cell differentiation; Obesity
