Product Overview
Description:
Rat plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL, 0.121 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PAI-1 in rat samples with a range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.121 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This assay utilizes the Sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to PAI1. Standards or samples are introduced into the wells with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody for PAI1. Subsequently, avidin-conjugated HRP is added and incubated. After the TMB substrate is introduced, wells containing the target complex will undergo a color change. The reaction is stopped with sulphuric acid, and the O.D. is measured at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of PAI1 is then calculated by mapping results against the standard curve.
Background:
As the primary physiological inhibitor of tissue-type plasminogen activator and urokinase-type plasminogen activator, PAI-1 exerts its effects by suppressing fibrinolysis and proteolysis. Its elevation is associated not only with thrombosis and fibrosis but also with obesity and insulin resistance.
Synonyms:
SERPINE1; Endothelial plasminogen activator inhibitor
Applications:
Rat plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL, 0.121 ng/mL) is used to quantify PAI-1 in Plasma of rat, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, fibrosis, thrombosis, obesity, etc.
