Description: Rabbit insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-2) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of IGF-2 in rabbit samples with a range of 4.687-300 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 1.5 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on IGF-2 antibody-IGF-2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect IGF-2 antigen targets in samples.
Background: IGF-2 is a crucial growth factor with significant pro-growth activity, acting as an effective mitogen in vitro. Influenced by placental lactogen, it plays a pivotal role in fetal development. Furthermore, its metabolic function involves differentiating adipocytes and influencing glucose uptake. Research indicates that IGF-2 dysfunction may lead to metabolic abnormalities, manifesting in pathological features such as obesity and metabolic syndrome.
