Description: Porcine prothrombin fragment 1 + 2 (F1 + 2) ELISA kit (3.12-200 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of F1 + 2 in porcine with a range of 3.12-200 ng/mL and a specificity of 0.6 ng/mL.

Assay Principle: The pre-coated antibody is a porcine F1+2 monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. Samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Then the avidin-peroxidase conjugate is added sequentially to the ELISA wells; the reactants are rinsed thoroughly with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate; TMB turns blue color catalyzed by peroxidase, and finally turns into yellow color in the presence of acid. The color correlates positively with the detection factor in the sample.

Background: Thrombin converts fibrinogen to fibrin and activates factors V, VII, VIII, XIII, and, in complex with thrombomodulin, protein C. Research indicates that obesity is associated with disturbances in coagulation balance, leading to a pro-coagulant and hypofibrinolytic state. Analysis of F1 + 2 levels is of certain significance.
