Description:
Phloretin is a natural dihydrochalcone found in Manchurian apricot and apple leaves that inhibits eukaryotic urea transporters and VacA-mediated transport; it is a strong scavenger of peroxynitrite that prevents lipid peroxidation and can induce apoptosis in certain leukemia and melanoma cell lines.
