Product Overview
Description:
Mouse group XVI phospholipase A2 (PLA2G16) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PLA2G16 in mouse samples with a range of 0.625-20 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on PLA2G16 antibody-PLA2G16 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PLA2G16 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
PLA2G16 is a calcium-independent phospholipase A2 (iPLA2 family) whose primary function is to hydrolyze phospholipids in cell membranes, releasing free fatty acids and lysophospholipids. These products serve as precursors for important lipid signaling molecules, such as prostaglandins. PLA2G16 plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and is significantly involved in diseases like obesity.
Synonyms:
Adipocyte phospholipase A2; AdPLA
EC NO.:
3.1.1.4
Applications:
Mouse group XVI phospholipase A2 (PLA2G16) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is used to quantify PLA2G16 in undiluted original mouse body fluids, tissue homogenates, secretions, and feces samples of mice, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including lipid metabolism, signal transduction, energy storage, obesity, and others.
