Product Overview
Description:
Mouse agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (1.56-50 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing mouse AGRP levels with a detection range of 1.56-50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The kit is based on AGRP antibody-AGRP antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AGRP antigen targets in samples.
Background:
AGRP plays a role in body weight homeostasis, is involved in the control of eating behavior through the central melanocortin system, and acts as an inverse agonist of MC3R and MC4R, thereby inhibiting their constitutive activity. Genetic variants in AGRP may be responsible for obesity.
Synonyms:
Agouti-related peptide; ASIP2
Applications:
Mouse agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (1.56-50 ng/mL) is designed for the in vitro quantitative analysis of AGRP levels in mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, feces, urine and body fluids samples.
Research Area:
Hormone research; Eating behavior; Signaling pathway; Obesity
