Product Overview
Description:
Mouse adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL, <10 pg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing mouse ADP levels with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL. Its sensitivity is less than 10 pg/mL.
Assay Principle:
The detection antibody is a biotinylated antibody specific for ADP. The capture antibody is a rat monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is a goat polyclonal antibody. To detect mouse ADP, standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by biotinylated detection antibody. The wells are washed with PBS or TBS buffer, and ABC-HRP is added. Unbound ABC-HRP is washed with PBS or TBS buffer, and TMB is added. TMB is an HRP substrate that catalyzes the production of a blue product, which turns yellow upon addition of an acidic termination solution. The absorbance of the yellow product at 450 nm is linearly proportional to the mouse ADP in the sample. The absorbance of the yellow product in each well is read using a plate reader, and the readings from the sample wells are compared to a standard curve to determine the concentration of mouse ADP in the sample.
Background:
ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Synonyms:
ADIPOQ; ACDC; APM1; Adipocyte C1q and collagen domain-containing protein; ACRP30; Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein; apM-1; Gelatin-binding protein; Adiponectin
