Product Overview

Description: Human tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 1 (PTPN1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of PTPN1 in human samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.054 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to PTPN1. Standards or samples are added to the designated wells with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody preparation specific for PTPN1. Next, avidin-conjugated HRP is added to each well and incubated. After the addition of TMB substrate solution, only wells containing the PTPN1 sandwich complex will show a color change. A sulphuric acid solution terminates the reaction, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of PTPN1 in the samples is calculated by comparing the sample OD to the standard curve.
Background: PTPN1, also known as PTP1B, is a non-receptor tyrosine phosphatase. Its core function is to negatively regulate insulin and leptin signaling pathways. PTP1B terminates signal transduction by removing tyrosine phosphate groups from insulin receptors and leptin receptors. It represents a significant target for developing anti-diabetic and anti-obesity drugs.
Synonyms: Protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B; PTP1B
Applications: Human tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 1 (PTPN1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is used to quantify PTPN1 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids of humans, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, signal transduction, and others.
