Product Overview
Description:
Human tachykinin receptor 3 (TACR3) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of TACR3 in human samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.094 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This ELISA kit employs the sandwich-ELISA method. The provided micro ELISA plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to TACR3. Standards or samples are added to the wells to combine with the immobilized capture antibody. Then, a biotinylated detection antibody specific for TACR3 and an avidin-HRP conjugate are added successively and incubated. After washing away free components, the substrate solution is introduced. Wells containing the TACR3 sandwich complex will appear blue. The reaction is terminated by a sulphuric acid solution, turning the color yellow. The OD is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm, and the concentration of TACR3 is calculated relative to the standard curve.
Background:
TACR3 is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) whose ligand is neurokinin B. TACR3 is primarily expressed in the central nervous system (specifically the hypothalamus). In obesity research, TACR3 serves as a cross-regulatory point between energy balance and the reproductive axis. It indirectly influences appetite, satiety, and metabolic rate by affecting neuronal activity in the hypothalamus.
Synonyms:
