Description: Human Nei endonuclease VIII-like protein 1 (NEIL1) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of NEIL1 in human samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.057 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.

Assay Principle: The methodology utilized in this kit is the Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The provided microtiter plate is pre-immobilized with a capture antibody specific to NEIL1. Standards or samples are introduced into the designated wells, followed by the addition of a biotin-conjugated detection antibody specific for NEIL1. Subsequently, avidin-conjugated HRP is added to each microplate well and incubated to form an immune complex. Upon the addition of TMB substrate, color development occurs exclusively in wells containing the NEIL1-biotin-avidin sandwich. The reaction is terminated with a sulphuric acid solution, and the absorbance is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The final concentration of NEIL1 in the specimens is determined by mapping the O.D. of the samples against the standard curve.

Obesity itself is closely linked to oxidative stress and DNA damage. Research indicates that NEIL1 activity or expression levels exert a certain influence on obesity and its associated complications.
