Product Overview
Description:
Human monocarboxylate transporter 2 (MCT2) ELISA kit-Quantitative competitive is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of MCT2 in human samples with a range of 0.78-50 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.44 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on MCT2 antibody-MCT2 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MCT2 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
MCT2 (also known as SLC16A7) is a monocarboxylate transporter responsible for transporting monocarboxylic acids such as lactate, pyruvate, and ketone bodies. MCT2 is highly expressed in the liver and brain. It is associated with the selection and utilization of energy substrates, influencing the transport of substrates like lactate between tissues, thereby affecting hepatic gluconeogenesis and energy sensing in the brain.
Synonyms:
Solute carrier family 16 member 7; SLC16A7
Applications:
Human monocarboxylate transporter 2 (MCT2) ELISA kit-Quantitative competitive is used to quantify MCT2 in human samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism and others.
