Product Overview

Description: Fish estrogen receptor (ER) ELISA kit (15.6-500 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of ER in fish with a range of 15.6-500 pg/mL and a specificity of 2.0 pg/mL.
Assay Principle: Purified fish ER antibody is made into a solid-phase antibody, then ER and ER antibody labeled with HRP are added to the wells, and the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complexes. The reaction becomes an antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex. After complete washing, the TMB substrate solution is added, and the TMB substrate turns blue when catalyzed by the HRP enzyme. The reaction is terminated by the addition of sulfuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. The concentration of ER in the sample is then determined by comparing the OD of the sample to a standard curve.
Background: ER is a ligand-activated transcription factor composed of several domains important for hormone binding, DNA binding, and activation of transcription. Estrogens and their receptors play roles in sexual development, reproductive functions, bone, and other tissues. ERs are associated with various pathological processes.
Synonyms: Estradiol receptor; Oestrogen receptor; Receptors, Estrogen
Applications: Fish estrogen receptor (ER) ELISA kit (15.6-500 pg/mL) is used to quantify ER in serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, feces, urine, body fluid samples of fish, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
