Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) assay kit (Fluorometric, 2.6-100 μmol/L)

Specification

Description: Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) assay kit (Fluorometric, 2.6-100 μmol/L) is an assay kit for the rapid and sensitive detection of TBARS in the range of 2.6-100 μmol/L.
Background: The organism generates oxygen free radicals through enzymatic and non-enzymatic systems, which attack polyunsaturated fatty acids in biological membranes and induce lipid peroxidation, resulting in the formation of lipid peroxides. Malondialdehyde (MDA) is one of the common products of lipid peroxidation in organisms. It is a biomarker of lipid peroxidation, which can reflect the degree of lipid peroxidation in organisms and indirectly the degree of cellular damage.
Assay Principle: Succinic acid is converted to pyruvic acid, which reacts with specific reagents and dyes to produce a colored product. The color intensity of the reaction product at 570 nm or fluorescence at Ex/Em = 530/585 nm is proportional to the concentration of succinic acid in the sample.
