Specification
Description:
Rat fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) CLIA kit is a CLIA kit assay for the detection of rat FGF21 level. The range of the assay is 1.17-300 pg/mL.
Background:
FGF21 belongs to the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family, which has a wide range of mitogenic and cell survival activities and is involved in a variety of biological processes, including tissue repair, embryonic development, morphogenesis, cell growth, tumor growth, and invasion.
Formula Weight:
22,300 Da
Assay Type:
Competitive inhibition
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plate included in this kit is pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for FGF21. A competitive inhibitory reaction occurs between biotin-labeled FGF21 and unlabeled FGF21 (standards or samples) and the pre-coated antibody specific for FGF21. After incubation, the unbound conjugate is washed away. Avidin conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is then added to each microtiter well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP is inversely proportional to the concentration of FGF21 in the sample. A mixture of substrates A and B is then added. After development, the intensity of the glow is inversely proportional to the amount of FGF21 in the sample or standard.
Assay Target:
