Rat acetyl-CoA carboxylase 2 (ACACB) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL)

Specification

Description: Rat acetyl-CoA carboxylase 2 (ACACB) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing rat ACACB levels with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of up to 0.06 ng/mL.
Background: ACACB (also called ACC2) is a subunit of ACC. ACC is responsible for catalyzing the carboxylation of acetyl-CoA to malonyl-CoA, which is the rate-limiting step in fatty acid synthesis. ACC2 has been found to play an important role in controlling fatty acid oxidation and is a potential target for the treatment of obesity and related diseases.
Formula Weight: 255,093 Da
Assay Principle: The assay is performed by the double sandwich ELISA technique. The ELISA kit provided is a typical double-sandwich ELISA kit. The pre-coated antibody is a rat ACACB monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. The sample and biotin-labeled antibody are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells; the reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by peroxidase, and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
