Oxalate (oxalic acid) assay kit (Colorimetric)

Specification

Description: Oxalate (oxalic acid) assay kit (Colorimetric) is a metabolic assay kit for the rapid and sensitive detection of oxalate (oxalic acid) in the range of 0.02-1 mmol/L.
Background: Oxalic acid or oxalate is a metabolic breakdown product of the glyoxylate cycle in eukaryotes. Oxalate concentrations in human urine and other mammals can be used to assess renal function. Excessive levels of oxalate may lead to the formation of kidney stones.
Assay Type: Quantitative assay
Assay Principle: Oxalate oxidase catalyzes the oxidation of oxalate to produce hydrogen peroxide and carbon dioxide. In the presence of POD, hydrogen peroxide reacts with the chromophore to produce a colored product. There is a specific absorption peak at 550 nm, and the shade of color is proportional to the amount of oxalate.
Assay Target: Oxalate (oxalic acid)
Target Species: Universal
Research Area: Obesity research; Food safety and analysis
Sample Type: Urine; Serum; Plasma; Plant tissue
Kit Components: Buffer solution; Working solution; Chromogenic agent A; Chromogenic agent B; Enzyme reagent A; Enzyme reagent B; Regulator; Clarificant; Standard (1 mmol/L); Microplate; Plate sealer
Detection Range: 0.02-1 mmol/L
Sensitivity: 0.02 mmol/L
Precision (Intra-assay): 0.047
Precision (Inter-assay): 0.03
Reaction Time: 35 min
Recovery: 0.95
Stability: 6 Months
Applications: Oxalate (oxalic acid) assay kit (Colorimetric) is used to measure oxalate content in animal urine, serum, plasma, and plant tissue samples.
Storage: Store at 2-8°C.
