Description:
Mouse adiponectin (ADP) CLIA kit is a CLIA kit assay for the detection of mouse ADP level. The range of the assay is 5.49-4000 pg/mL.
Background:
Adiponectin is involved in important adipokines that control fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity. It has multiple functions, including antagonizing TNF-α by negatively regulating its expression in different tissues such as liver and macrophages and counteracting its effects; stimulating AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle to enhance glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, and inhibiting endothelial NF-kappa-B signaling through a cAMP-dependent pathway. It is found that it may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Formula Weight:
26,414 Da
Assay Type:
Double-antibody sandwich
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plates in this kit are pre-coated with an antibody specific for ADP. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells, followed by the biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ADP. Avidin conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is then added to each microtiter well and incubated. A mixture of substrates A and B is then added to produce glow light emission kinetics. After the microtiter plate is developed, the intensity of the glow is proportional to the level of ADP in the sample or standard.
Assay Target:
ADP
