Malondialdehyde (MDA) assay kit (0.29-100 nmol/mL)

Specification

Description: Malondialdehyde (MDA) assay kit (0.29-100 nmol/mL) is an assay kit for the rapid and sensitive detection of MDA in the range of 0.29-100 nmol/mL.
Background: The body produces oxygen-free radicals through enzymatic and non-enzymatic systems. Oxygen free radicals attack unsaturated fatty acids on the biofilm, leading to lipid peroxidation and the formation of lipid peroxides, such as aldehyde (MDA), ketone, hydroxyl, and carbonyl groups, leveletc. These lipid peroxidation breakdown products cause damage to cells. These lipid peroxidation breakdown products cause damage to cells. Detection of MDA levels can reflect the degree of lipid peroxidation in cells and indirectly reflect the degree of cellular damage.
Assay Principle: MDA in the catabolite of lipid peroxide can react with thiobarbituric acid (TBA) to form a red compound with a maximum absorption peak at 532 nm.
Assay Target: MDA
Target Species: Universal
Research Area: Oxidative stress; Lipid peroxidation; Obesity research
