Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (62.5-4000 pg/mL, <15 pg/mL)

Specification

Description: Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (62.5-4000 pg/mL, <15 pg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ADP levels with a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. Its sensitivity is less than 15 pg/mL.
Background: ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Formula Weight: 26,414 Da
Assay Principle: The assay utilizes a 96-well plate coated with an antibody specific for human ADP. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and the ADP in the sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed, and biotinylated anti-human ADP antibody is added. After washing away the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, TMB substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is developed proportionally to the amount of ADP bound. The termination solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.
