Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL, 1.102 ng/mL)

Specification

Description: Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL, 1.102 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ADP levels with a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 1.102 ng/mL.
Background: ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Formula Weight: 26,414 Da
Assay Principle: The microtiter plates provided in this kit are pre-coated with an ADP-specific antibody. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells along with a biotin-conjugated ADP-specific polyclonal antibody preparation, and HRP-conjugated avidin is then added to each microplate well and incubated. TMB substrate solution is then added to each well. Only wells containing ADP, biotin-conjugated antibody, and enzyme-conjugated avidin will show a color change. The addition of sulfuric acid solution terminates the enzyme-substrate reaction, and the color change is then measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The concentration of ADP in the sample is then determined by comparing the OD of the sample to the standard curve.
