Description:
Goat adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing goat ADP levels with a detection range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL.
Background:
ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Formula Weight:
26,809 Da
Assay Principle:
The assay uses a competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Microtiter plates supplied in this kit are pre-coated with ADP. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells along with an HRP-conjugated antibody preparation specific for ADP. A competitive inhibition reaction occurs between the pre-coated ADP and the ADP in the sample. A substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color develops in proportion to the amount of ADP in the sample. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.
