Description:
Canine adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL, up to 0.5 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing canine ADP levels with a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of up to 0.5 ng/mL.
Background:
ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Formula Weight:
26,414 Da
Assay Principle:
The kit is based on the double antibody sandwich ELISA technique. The pre-coated antibody is anti-canine ADP monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is biotinylated polyclonal antibody. The samples and biotinylated antibodies are added into the wells of the ELISA plate separately, and then rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the wells. The enzyme conjugates are thoroughly washed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate, which reacts with the peroxidase activity to produce a blue product, which finally turns yellow upon addition of the termination solution (color developing reagent C). The intensity of the color is positively correlated with the amount of target analyte in the sample.
